Translate Video translates the spoken audio in a video and creates a new video with dubbing in the target language. You can choose between HeyGen for full lip sync or ElevenLabs for cheaper voice dubbing, with optional lip sync.

When to use

  • Translate a TikTok, Instagram Reel or YouTube video into your language.

  • Localize an educational or training video for a different audience.

  • Preserve the original speaker voice with voice cloning.

  • Create a cheaper dubbed version when lip sync is not required.

Providers and modes

Provider

Best for

Approximate cost

HeyGen

Talking-head videos where lip sync quality matters most.

5 tokens/sec, or 10 tokens/sec with Enhanced Cloning.

ElevenLabs

Fast, lower-cost dubbing with strong voice cloning and no visual lip sync by default.

About 0.84 tokens/sec.

ElevenLabs + Lip Sync

Cheaper dubbing plus additional visual lip sync processing.

About 1.5 tokens/sec total.

How to run

  1. Open Translate Video from the Tools tab.

  2. Choose a video file or paste a link.

  3. Select the target language.

  4. Open Settings and choose the provider: HeyGen or ElevenLabs.

  5. Tap Translate. Wait until upload completes, then processing continues on the server.

ℹ️ You can close or minimize the app after upload finishes. The result appears in History and VocaLingo sends a notification when it is ready.

Settings

  • HeyGen Enhanced Cloning: higher voice similarity and quality, higher cost.

  • ElevenLabs Remove background audio: removes music and ambient sound from the output.

  • ElevenLabs Disable voice cloning: uses a generic voice instead of cloning the speaker.

  • ElevenLabs Lip Sync: adds visual lip sync through an additional model. If lip sync fails, the dubbed video is still delivered and you are charged only for dubbing.

After the result is ready

You can play, download, save or share the translated video. You can also continue with Add Captions if you want subtitles on top of the translated video.
